Evita´s travel review

We left Kehtna on Wednesday morning at 4:30 am. We arrived at Tallinn  Airport a little bit before 6 am. Soon we boarded the plane and started flying towards Munich Airport. It took 2 and a half hours to get there. When we had arrived we  headed for  Munich city by subway. It took about half an hour. In Munich we visited a cathedral. On top oif its tower we got very nice views to the city. In front of the cathedral there were a lot of street entertainers. Soon we returned to Munich Airport and started heading towards the Paris Airport. It took  an hour and a half. When we had arrived  in  Paris, a French man picked us up  and drove us to Rouen by his van. The drive was quite long. Soon we arrived at the hotel. Our room was very small, like a ship cabin, but we got used to it quite quickly. Later we went to a Chinese restaurant because we were very hungry. It was very close to our hotel. We ate rice, spicy chicken, sweet chicken, noodles with shrimps and drank water and tea. I really liked the food and eating with chopsticks.

On Thursday we went to Claude Bernard College. The French teachers and students gave us  a tour  there. It was very quiet during the lessons. After that we had to wait a little and then the workshops began. There were 2 French students and 3 foreign students in  a workshop group, but in my group there were only 2 French and me. The first workshop was the Spanish workshop. I had to repeat fruit names in Spanish  After that we had to fry pancakes in the kitchen. Then we had to choose clothes  for the  fashion show at the welcome concert. In the last workshop all groups contributied in making a cartoon about the circle of water. I had to move a raindrop on the ground and one boy  took photos after  each time I had moved the raindrop further.  In the evening there was a dinner in the school canteen. We could eat all  kinds of snacks there.

On Friday we went to eat lunch into another school. The meal was cooked by senior students. First we had a seafood dish with fish, shrimps, crab pieces and more. The main course was chicken with beans and potato casserole. As for a dessert we had  apple pie. Later we went to a park. The plants in the park hadn’t started blooming yet. Then we went to Rouen city. We had a little bit free time there. We went to a very big cathedral and later did some shopping. Soon we went back to the Claude Bernard College. We had a dinner and a welcome concert, which was in French an lasted for about 2 hours. I thought it was very boring because I didn´t understand anything. After that we had  disco.

On Saturday morning we went to a fishing village called Honfleur. I liked the village very much. There were a lot of  restaurants and tourist shops. After that we went to Etretat.  The ocean and the views were very beautiful there. Then we went to Le Havre. It is an industrial town. We got some free time and we went up  on a mountain. We could see the city skyline from there. The view wasn’t very beautiful. In the evening we went back to Rouen and a French family invited us to have dinner in their home. My family lived in a small house which had two floors. We chatted and ate. We had  a dish with potato and minced meat  and a pie for a dessert. Later we went up on  a mountain to see Rouen city from there. The view were beautiful, but it was very cold. The family was very nice and kind to me.

On Sunday morning we went to Paris. The Turkish team came with us. First we went to the Pere Lachaise cemetery. We had only one hour. We wanted to find celebrities who are buried in the cemetery but we didn’t have enough time, so we only found Chopin’s grave. He had a lot of flowers on his grave. Next we went to a cafe. I had a vegetable soup. I didn’t like it. Then we went to Notre Dame. It was big. Then we went to Louvre museum without teachers because we had a free entrance. We had only a half an hour. We managed to find Mona Lisa painting and Aphrodite-Venus de Milo. Mona Lisa was a lot smaller than in movies. Later when we went out of Louvre there was a man who gave us pigeon food and pigeons flied onto our hands and began pecking. They were very beautiful and cute. Then we went to the Triumph Arch. It was very big and powerful. Last but not least we went to the Eifel tower. There was a magnificent view to Paris, but the weather was very cold. Soon we went to our new hotel. The room was better than in Rouen hotel.

On Monday morning we went to Sacre Coeur. After that we went to the airport and flew to Munich again and then to Estonia. We arrived at Tallinn Airport very late and we arrived home after 12 o’clock.
